1984 B Reg DUCATI 900 900 cc 900 SS S2900cc, Manual 5 speed, 5,029 km, Red, 3 Owners, The S2 was one of the last bevel drive models Ducati ever made and was the last throw of the dice for this iconIc model. The 900ss was given a facelift by Ducati with redesigned tailpiece and Pantah fairing but the writing was on the wall and the new belt drive models took over. Earlier versions are fetching upwards of 15000 pounds and this model is rapidly catching up. The bike is 90 per cent original from what we can see and is in good condition throughout. I have personally owned her for over ten years but have had to thin out my collection as i am just not gonna have enough tme and energy to restore them all. Originally imported from Italy but UK registered in 1994 with UK paperwork. She has the bigger 40mm carbs and Conti silencers. Cosmetically there are two or three fins missing on the front cyclinder head and a ding in the top of the tank and she needs a new screen but parts are relatively easy to come by. I put about 400 miles on her in 2002 then laid her up. for the big restoration which never happened. I doubt that the mileage is corect but that was what was on her when i bought her in 2002 and it does check out with the national mileage register. She is by no means perfect but will form the perfect basis for a restoration project or will not take very much to get her up and running again for a summers riding.
