I haven't been able to ride my bike recently so as the weather was nice I took it off the trickle charger, checked tyre pressures etc, fired it up (eventually it took a while to start) and rode it on News years Eve.I stopped after 30 miles filled it up with Tesco fuel and carried on.It was going really well for forty miles or so and I was really enjoying being a biker again until I was changing down slowing up for a roundabout when it stalled (and I went sideways eek). It did restart after I pulled the clutch ...
My idle on Derbi senda x-treme 72cc 2-stroke with a dellorto carb 21 is too high (2000-2500rpm) and it doesnt fall. Theres not a problem with the throttle cable, there are no air leaks on the vacuums and the idle screws are adjusted fine. Also the carb is clean. What could the problem be? When i put 1st gear in theres a hit on the gearbox since the rpms are high and it will destroy it. Sometimes when i put 1st gear the engine stops after the hit. Please i need an answer fast because i am going to sell it in 3 days ...
I am going to buy a DID cain can anyone recommend a chain riviter other than the expensive km500 DID tool.I am a little dubious of the cheaper versions and would like some advice on buying a cheaper non DID tool. Do they work is the simple question or are they as some reviews suggest a waste of money. regards vic

Hi, help needed... Does anyone have fitting instructions for a translogic 3 quickshifter for an 04 R1 (5vy) or experience fitting one with gilles rearsets? Cheers dean
We overhauled front suspention and brakes (rear and front). All seals are replaced, metal hoses and new pads added. However the result is hardly noticable, other than the bike is rolling better if not braking. What we did not do is changing the brake cylinder on the steer. Question 1: Will breaking improve if we change the cylinder for a newer model, say 2003?Question 2: Are there any breaking cylinders which do fit and have a greater breaking capacity?Question 3: Be happy and live with the situation? Thanks, Nico Booij

I have American Chopper aspirations which i'd like to make a reality as soon as possible, but there's a problem, I'm on L plates. Could a suzuki gs500 be restricted to 12.6 bhp? i want to buy a cheap runner and chop it, hard tail, goosneck the works. and if restricting a gs500 to learner legal size is possible, is there a chance that it could tow around the engine and a hard tail frame? it'll be minimalist. any insight would be appreciated.
