My buddy and I took a 9 state, 12 day, 4,275 mile route from Sac to Yellowstone and back. I road my '03 BMW R1150RT and my pal road his '08 Kawi C14. It was a pretty awesome adventure and I made this goofy movie to chronicle our journey. Check it out, and enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w7urNrZmHY Thanks, -Dave
Went to Brands yesterday 20th July, great racing till it rained for the 2nd race.Kyo did well to beat Shakey in the first race. James Ellison crash in the 2nd was horrific and broke his hip, his bike barreled and bounced and hit Shakey; he was lucky to stay on.Hope James recovers and manages to get back this season. Looks like it's between Shakey, Kyo and Stalker for the shootout. Josh needs to up his game to get anywhere near and keep on the black stuff also out of the kitty litter.Good day out and great racing in all classes. ...
Forma Santos Boots, %XA3154.99 Time tested: Four months/2000 miles What%X92s good? I%X92ve never been a fan of %X91overdesigned%X92 motorcycle boots; all those buckles, straps and velcro with plastic and metal adorning every surface. I mainly use my bike for shorter trips where I%X92ve got plans at the other end, so I%X92m always on the lookout for footwear that is functional but...

The last bike I bought, a hold-over model from the previous year, a 2008. It changed my mind about these kinds of "scooters". The handling was amazing, brakes were terrific and it had more power than those KZ440s I had. Very comfortable, and it would do 70mph all day, getting 65mpg while doing it. My first bike with fuel injection...I didn't miss carburetors. The new Urals have FI now, maybe I should look into getting a new one of those. The Burgman surprised me in every way, so it's not fair to call it a "scooter".
The last 440 I had, a close-up of the engine and such. Battery acid had gotten all over the back of the bike and engine, exhaust, etc. It needed a lot of elbow-grease and polishing compounds to get the acid damage and oxidation off the aluminum, but it turned out pretty good. You can't even see the dent that was in the tank. I didn't fill it with Bondo, either. I made a special pick to get inside the tank so I could tap the dent out. It took me 3 months to do the tear-down, get parts, and put ...
My girlfriend Judi and I on one of our motorcycle camping trips. This was taken in the Cascade mountains in Washington state. She was the perfect pillion girl. No matter the weather, she never complained. She was so happy to be on the GL with me, riding all over. When I met her, she didn't have any riding gear at all. But we went around and I helped her get some women-sized gear so she'd be comfortable in different weather conditions. She spent her own money buying her kit, all I had to do was show her the good stuff.
