2000 (W) ZX9R E1 for sale. Its blue, I've owned from new and it's only covered 7500 miles. It has a full dealer SH, and MOT till jan 06, tax till the end of Sep. It's also fitted with datatag, and a Datatool Evo-Veto Thatcham 1 alarm/immobilizer. It has a black screen, carbon oval scorpion can plus the original, carbon hugger. Always garaged or 'shedded', polished more than ridden and is in immaculate order. I'm looking for %XA33675. huge mileage, 20,000 plus says the blurb in ManpP,s catalogue, so i fitted two sets last year to my C2, %XA351 incl post, and, 6000 miles later they are shagged out, im disappointed, thought they would last longer. So where do i go from here, more 20K HH or is there something better out there. Answers on a postcard to MandP.?
I have recently brought an ZX9R E2 2002. It's an import but the speedo has been converted to MPH. However, it's saying I am doing 95mph at 6,000 rpm in 6th or 110mph at 7,000rpm Feels like it's over reading quite a bit to me - anyone able to tell me what their standard bike is doing at those revs. Thanks
Hi I have a 98 C1 with a horn that sounds like an ant breaking wind. I want to put a couple of air horns on but, on closer inspection I don't think I can fit them in anywhere. Suggestions (polite please) anyone? Cheers Mozz
any advice on tyre choice for c1 zx9. currently running michelin pilot sport front and power rear. happy enough apart from a bit pricy and rear hasn't really lasted 2.5k normal to quickish road use only cheers
frazzled mine today playin silly buggers, just about got home. 23k on a c2, thought it would have done a few more miles than that to be honest, anyway, new plates and springs from mandp should do it, bout 70 squid. strange thing is the cable tightened up, had to loosen it to crawl home....any ideas before the surgery starts would be appreciated.
I've got a problem with my 2001 zx9r. When acclerating hard or after a shut off I get a bit of a 'miss' on the engine. It feels just like it does when it hits the rev limiter. It doesn't happen everytime and only about 4500 or 8000 rpm mostly 8000 rpm as that is when it appears to be under most load. If you keep revving it just 'blips' then carries with no further problems. I've had all the engine checked including shims etc but it still does it. Anyone any ideas?
Hi Guys... I've been offered an Ohlins rear shock for my 2001 E2. It's quite expensive for me, but I know new they are a lot more. Has anyone got one fitted? Do they make a great improvement? Bearing in mind that I can't say that I've ever had handling probs anyway and I don't intend doing any track days. Any advice welcome! Cheers - Gary
after being used to digital speedo's on my previous bikes I'm finding it hard to see what I'm doing at a glance!! Has anyone fitted a digital conversion to the zx9, and if so how easy and/or expensive?
Help,put ZX9C1 in garage next time put key in ignition there is no speedo,temp guage or odometer,checked fuses which look o.k. anyone had this problem or can point me in right direction before I take it to main dealership for'investigation'
