I used to own a CBR6, Knee-down and peg down not a problem so when i changed it for an 00 model R6 i was childishly horrfied to find i couldnt geddit-reet-over, i could not get on with the way the front felt like it was going to wash-out, literally like i was going to just fall off! i even went to an ex-national racer to ask him to set it up for me to no avail-it seems the me/R6 mix just wasnt compatible-thats the history bit out of the way. My question is this: are there any changes between ...

Hi, Thinking of buying my mates 03 silver R6. Its done 7500miles and i know he's kept it well. Wanted to know if i should buy it or whether it would be worth forking out for a new 05 one... i live with minimal offstreet parking so i think i might be scared to leave a brand new bike outside; but at the same time a full warrenty, spangly new paint, and a fresh engine to break in really apeals to me. any advice would be very welcome

If you've bought a new Yamaha R6 or have placed a deposit then please contact Tom Rayner on 01733 468 017. MCN needs your opinions on the bike for an upcoming feature.

Thinking of getting one. Finding power at bit snappy at low revs. Will a pcIII help or am I wasting my money? Also do they take alot of setting up on a dyno. Have a Akrapovic end can that I was told didn't need setting up, is this correct?

Hi, I have read all you have to say abouit the R46 and I am just wondering whether to change mone for one. I have a 2003 Kenny Roberts replica and love it, i have been offered a good price for it on trade in against an R46 which is a pre reg and on sale with zero miles for %XA35400. Is there much difference between them? Mine has the Termigoni end can and carbon fibre front and rear mudguards and the 17 front tyre, so questions is will I gain anything?

Hi, We are avid readers of MCN (three biking sons & myself) I have not had cause to write to you before now, but I feel that we (my son Darren) have been unfairly dealt with by Yamaha UK. Breifly, Darren bought a new Yamaha WR450 on 31st October this year from Woking Yamaha, it is a UK bike. He rode it off road in Wales for one day & on the second day (about 150 miles) it developed an engine noise. The oil & filter was changed on the first day after 50 miles & again on the second ...

Hey, just thought id share this one with you all. Im told the swinging arm pivot needs greasing every 12,000miles or so, tho on another forum they recommended doing it once a year or 5000miles which ever the sooner. Anyway, i spent a couple of days doing it (and using the time to clean those hard to reach places too) when i decided to save myself the work next time and carefully drilled 2 holes in the bottom face of the swinging arm, tapped a couple of threads and wound in a couple of grease nipples. I spent quite alot ...
