Hey, just thought id share this one with you all. Im told the swinging arm pivot needs greasing every 12,000miles or so, tho on another forum they recommended doing it once a year or 5000miles which ever the sooner. Anyway, i spent a couple of days doing it (and using the time to clean those hard to reach places too) when i decided to save myself the work next time and carefully drilled 2 holes in the bottom face of the swinging arm, tapped a couple of threads and wound in a couple of grease nipples. Hi, We are avid readers of MCN (three biking sons & myself) I have not had cause to write to you before now, but I feel that we (my son Darren) have been unfairly dealt with by Yamaha UK. Breifly, Darren bought a new Yamaha WR450 on 31st October this year from Woking Yamaha, it is a UK bike. Does anyone know of any company who makes a Carbon Tail Tidy/ Number Plate Holder to fit an 04 R6. I see quite a few stainless steel ones, and even an ally one too. I spose if the worse comes to worst i could get an ally one and get it black anodised.

Thought that i would say hello!! HELLO I have been looking for a owners club and forum for the R6, and have only found this one? Any more out there? I picked up my late 03 R6, two weeks ago, what a great bike. Mine has done only 308 miles, and so is booked in to have all the fulids changed and have it checked, as the previous owner hadn't serviced it, thought that she didn't need to as she never used it!!! I've just past my test and bought an R6 2004 model and plan on making a few changes (e.g tail tidy , exhaust & double bubble) need a tank pad aswell does anyone have any recomendations like the best place to buy or product also I think I mite need a cut seat meaning I'm just tip toeing.
