Hi all, well i have joint the R1-forum.com , but its all based in usa and even though there is a lot of member to help on discusions, some times i want to relate with uk owners :( as its different :P And decent forums that anyone would recommend that has plenty of member in uk please?

I've just bouhgt an 04 R1 and feeling well chuffed,but it does have a problem. I need some advice with-changing up gears.Slips into 1st easily,1st >2nd no problem,from then on things are not too good, does'nt want to click up into gear & takes a fair bit of effort & yanking at lever,down changing is no problem.Hoping the linkage just needs a wee bit of adjustment,any advice appreciated.(Bike has only done 1300 mls)

Well possibly, I have just purchased the above R1 which is immaculate and so far has been a wonderful bike. Yesterday, however, i noted that the oil light came on within about 5 minutes of the bike being started from cold. I pulled over waited a few minutes checked the oil which was 3/4 of the way to the top of the Oil glass. Having satisfied myself that i had enought Oil i continued my journey the light did not make another apperence. Today I did a good check on my oil before i took off and again within 5 ...

Hi all, i am really struggling to decide on which to go for and i been umming and arrring for two months, i am moving from a cbr600rr.... but i love the looks on the R6 06 and was thinking since i always been on 600's i was thinking should i try a 1000.... Waht you guys think? Is there a preference ont he R1 04 and 05?
bought a tho' last september and as mentally fast (made my old r1 feel a bit off the pace) and good, the bike is i find it a tad too big for me. I prefer the feel of the r1. So.... would anyone be interested in a swap or p/x with my k1 2001 gsxr 1000. has just under 7k on it and immaculate condition. Harris slip on, undertray and other goodies. Basically im selling my 98 R1, its done 10600 dry miles, been dynojetted, dynoed, quill endcan +standard, single seat unit, harris exhaust bracket, ohlins damper, FSH, datatool alarm, datatagged and it really really is exceptional. Now I'm asking %XA34000 ovno, do you think its taking the piss? I only ask because I've not come across one in this condition before & the only ones i have seen are either higher mileage or not as nice, but are lots cheaper, or loads more expensive for a 99-2000 model
