Fireblade 900 tyres

Just acquired a 97 Blade and have been trawling the net for the possible tyre options given the 16 inch front tyre. The current options are:Pirelli DiabloAvon VP2 SportBridgestone BTo16 ProContisport AttackDunlop Qualifier IIMichellin Pilot SportRide on Pilot Road 2s on a Fazer 600 which are great. Won't be doing track days. It will be for Spring/Summer riding. Don't want something that's going to wear out in 2k but want reasonable grip given the extra power of the Blade.Any suggestions from fellow Blade riders would be appreciated.

Conti Road Attack 2

Black Beauty ('58 plate Fazer 600 S2) is going in for it's annual health check within the next week. The Battlax BT-020's it's currently running on will pass the test, but the back is badly squared off after 2300 (mostly motorway) miles, so the plan is to get a Conti Road Attack 2 on the back (the front is ok for now).Question is, are the RA2's any good (esp given they will see motorway use)?

BMW HP2 Sport 'which' tyres?

I'm just coming to the end of my tyres (for the second time) Metzeler Racetec K3 and although they are fantastic, the mileage is not great and I fancy a dual compound tyre as they worked well on my Boxer Cup rep......any recommendations?

All-Weather Tyres?

So with nearly 12k miles on the it's time to get a new set of tyres. The Dunlop Roadsmart's that came on the ER6n lasted two months and always felt a little vague but the forced change after a puncture to Michelin Pilot Road's has proved fruitful for the mostly motorway commute. However, when it comes to the twisty roads they never filled me with confidence, especially on poorly maintained country roads. As a 'budget' tyre I suppose they have done well for what I use them for, racking up that sort of mileage is pretty impressive in my eyes ...

Best track tyres for wet and dry

Hi, I have a Yamaha R1 and will be taking her to the track next year, she will be a Track day only bike (no road), I'm planing to do lots of track days trough 2013. So, do any one have any advise of which set of tyres are the best for track days: very good in the dry, safe in the wet and ok in degradation. Many Thanks

puncture repair

A few weeks  ago I suffered a nail puncture on the crown of my Angel ST rear tyre with about 2000mls still on the tread but my local tyre depot said they could repair only Michellin tyres.  Why is this ?  What is the position with puncture repair kits ?

Tyre age...

Hi,I have a 2008 V-Strom 1000GT with the original boots fitted.  The bike has only covered 1800 miles. Obviously the the tyres still have lots of wear left in them . There are no signs of cracking in either the walls or tread of the tyres but I'm a little concerned that they may need replacing due to their age.Any assistance very much appreciated
