Its a sad day for bikers we've lost a great rider, luckily this doesnt happen often, but its so sad to see a young talent wasted.
The line between Moto GP and WSB is now so blurred its hard to tell the difference. So here's my new rules.. Moto GP.., 500 4 stroke 4 cyl, all manufacturers to produce engines for general sale. No electronics. Any chassis. All tyres allowed but no special overnight wonders, 2 compounds and limited numbers allowed.. WSB.. Road frames and swing arms, no mods allowed. Forks same diameter as road items. 17 inch wheels. No rider electronics unless on road bike. Any tyres as in Moto GP Result Full grids. Realistic costs, closer racing. Job Done
With the news Honda are cutting their GP budjet by 30% for next yr,Suzuki probaly pulling the plug on their team & decreasing amount of sponsors, how are Dorna planning to fill the grid.I know theres a new capacity limit but it's beyond me how that alone is going to get 30+ bikes in the starting line up?
Read in MCN that Birdie is bored with WSB, that it's second rate and Moto GP is where it's at. Yes Moto GP is cutting edge bike wise, has some exceptional riders, but its boring - period. From the man that runs a factory team thats achieved very little ( sorry Tom Sykes, you're great but your boss hasn't put the best bike underneath you ) in WSB is pretty arrogant. Hope the GP paddock is big enough for his ego and head.

when they talk about tyres degrading in moto gp what does that actually mean, is it just a technical word for wear or something completely different????
........... the wonderful sight that is Laguna Seca..... and the news that Kenny Roberts is to ride the whole weekend as part of Yamaha's celebrations...... Take a look at the expression on this man's face, as he makes his way to the front of the line in readiness for his demonstration laps at the recent festival of a thousand bikes at Mallory Park......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8htGW7BQnEY
Hey guysI've seen there's some info about Dovi switching to LCR in the latest MCN issue. But have no opportunity to buy it at all. I'd be very grateful if someone could tell me what the story is behind it.Thank you and hopefully I'm not breaking any forums' rules. x
Is there any truth in this ???I thought they were doing alright !!
I've recently started an opinion blog writing blogs on MotoGP, WSB and BSB. I've no link to any media organisation nor do I plan to make money from this project, I'm doing it for personal enjoyment although would like others to read too, my BSB work is already quite popular with over 100 unique reads of a recent blog about Rob McElnea. You can view it here: http://inthegravelagain.blogspot.comPlease share your views on this thread, advice is always welcome - you can also follow me on twitter: @inthegravel
