I can remember getting the certificate and because I'd done it on my moped, so I would be fully prep'd to pass my full bike licence ASAP once I was 17, it was marked as a 'moped' version, which I was very disappointed about at the time Helped me get a discount on my insurance even so. Apparently the scheme got absorbed into the BMF in the early 80's...

In this weeks' MCN, Mark Edwards says all police riders (or ex police riders) speed once they get to 60/70mph zones, if the road and conditions are safe. But if Joe Public was seen riding at 100mph, wouldn't he or she be pulled over straight away, regardless of riding conditions?
My 1996 Bandit 600 has a small oil leak from the oil cooler/hose joint (2 allen bolts). It appears to come from the joint faces rather than the hose braed joint, so I don't think there's a cracked hose. What's the seal there - an o-ring?
