back suspension rusts a treat even if you clean it
bought this bike new 1 year ago in march always clean it,sometimes get caught in rain but keep wipe it dry.left in garage but rust appears on back rim.also other bits could be better
I bought a new bonny in Nov 2003, early in 2004 I started to get corrosion on the underside of r hand engine cover. The dealer asked me to send digital photo's of the problem and of the whole bike. They got back to me saying that the cover would be changed under warranty which they did. (Webbs of Lincoln) I now have rust appearing on the rear wheel rim.It is not ridden in the wet and is cleaned regularly. I think unfortunately they are not such good quality as they should be!! algy61
Has your bike been recalled for the January 05 final drive fix? Are you able to get it booked in for the work as fast as you'd like?
Hi folks, Anyone help with this one please? A friend has just got a daytona 600 and wanted to find out if dropping the yolks down the forks would give her more chance to get her feet down. How many mm if anyones got an idea please let me know. Playing with the rear shock, and putting a different linkage hasn't helped..... Cheers Sproc'
Hi everyone - I got a new Datona 955i for christmas, but there seems to be no-one here to talk to about it. Where is everybody?
Since new every 1200 to 1500 miles the front discs warp on my Trophy 1200. This is an 03 bike with 5 months warranty left. The bike has now done 11,000 miles and after the last incident has now been with the garage for three weeks and the diagnosos is two fold, firstly because I am an advanced rider we use engine braking as much as possible and therefore limited use of the front brakes occurs. Due to the fact the bike is still in showroom condition I obviously look after the bike and I may be cleaning it excessively ...
Am I the only user of this bike to have a rear wheel lock up causing the rear wheel to pass the front wheel? My machine is a 2003 model. which has done 3300miles, when the rear wheel locked up at approx 40-45mph on a straight and level dry road surface. No other vehicles involved. No apparent reason found from post accident exam. Does anyone know of anything like this happening before?
