I have got the chance to buy some cheap second hand tyres for my R6 track bike. The problem is the rear tyres are 190 section rather than 180. The guy who is selling them says they will fit no problem, is this the case and how would it effect the handling of the bike ?

There are soo many good bikes out at the moment that I think something as cosmetic as the colour will sway my decision when buying next year - any inside info?? I know this is the R6 area - but would also be interested in knowing about the GSXR 600, and ninja thanks
At the weekend I was riding along when out of the blue my R6 made a whirring and clicking noise and stopped running. It is now in the local Yamaha garage and the prognosis is not good - apparently the cam chain tension spring has gone bye-byes and in turn knackered the pistons and valves. Seems I am looking at a replacement engine or a lot of expensive spare parts. Thing is the bike has only done 13000 miles and been treated with kid gloves since new (is W reg)- so why oh why has this happened? Has this happened ...

Does it make a huge difference what pads you go for? I need a new front set for my 02 R6 and i'm not really sure what would be best. Obviously i want good value, that will last a fair while but also perform well on the road. Any recommendations? Thanks, Nick.
I have a 2005 R6 its still on the repotedly lethal standard tyres, and i must admit they have frightened me a few times, so what tyres are best suited to my machine?
Does anyone know how i convert my imported 02 R6 headlights to UK spec. I thought it was done when i bought it (4 years ago!!!) but it just failed an MOT as they didn't check them last year. I don't really wanlt to spend %XA3160 on a new set of headlights.
hi everyone - just put an E-marked Leo Vince end can on a 2003 r6 but the feulling seems a bit wrong now so am going to put a power commander on. any advice on which map to use ta dave
