anyone tried new tyres yet , what are they and how do you rate them?
Hi Have listed before under Bad Vibrations and had a couple of valuable responses but still to no resovle. I'm now certain that it's an engine noise, kinda like a piston chatter noise between 3000 and 4000rpm. This is especially when you hold the revs to 4000. Is everyone elses engine sweet as a nut or are other people noticing this. I had an R1 before this which was very smooth and is making this bike seem 10 years older!!! This is driving me nuts Please helllpppp!!!!!!!!!

Well we now have our own board so feel free to comment! Hopefully the MCN lass whose riding an ER6-n as part of there long term test fleet will come & contribute!? So far loving my ER6-f, which i bought as an 'all year daily commuter'... Well balanced, very agile, only real niggle is it's habit/quirk of cutting out / stalling when pulling into the middle of islands in 1st gear!? Ti
Any owners out there had an alarm fitted and found the clock resets every time the ignition is switched on?

Yes, there has been a massive forum about this topic. However, I feel the need to post my joyful solution to the problem. After contacting the big K direct I was most put off with their 'characteritic' comment. However, going to my local dealer - I've been going there for 10 years or so - they were good enough to see to a fix. Simply installing longer, heavier bar-ends cut back dramatically the vibrations. I now have to really think about changing the revs to see if there are any vibrations, and so far it doesnt appear to be returning. ...
Sorry for being long winded...... OK..I bought a 'new' ZX12R in June. It was a pre reg B2 model on an 54 plate with obviously ZERO miles on the clock. Got it for the going price and love the bike...but when I got the paperwork back from Kawasaki...they would only honour the seven months warranty on the bike as it was obviously registered '54. I wrote to them explaining that the bike was 'new' and was pre reg but they ( today ) sent me a letter saying they hadn't authorised any pre reg so wouldn't offer me the 2 ...
