I got a VTR 1000 firestorm last october and love it!!! The only problem is, it's prone to losing power and then cuts out completely when its raining. Living in the west of Scotland....thats not good news. it's really made me nervous about driving when theres a chance it might rain. I fitted a fenda extenda to the front and had the spark plug caps replaced at the last service, but i'm still having trouble in the wet. It seemed to get better for a while but didnt last long. Can anyone recommend a solution please?

I can't seem to get the pin out that holds the pads in on the front brakes of a 2002 honda vtr 1000.Is there a special tool or can you use a normal screw driver? .It doesn,t seem to want to budge with the latter even after spraying it with some WD40.

I've had a running problem with my VTR Firestorm for ages. It's been in & out of the dealer's many times but they haven't managed to fix it.Yesterday I decided to have a go myself & stripped the fuel system, only to find the diaphragm in the fuel valve was split.I went back to my friendly Honda dealer to get the part & am told that I can only order the complete valve at a cost of %XA3150.Does anyone know whether I can purchase the diaphragm on it's own from somewhere without spending %XA3150?
