FZR 1000 exup genesis

Hi guy's, im going to buy a G reg yamaha fzr1000 exup genesis, in early february. I have ridden it up and down a short bumpy road once already and I fell in love. The immense surge of power it has just off the clutch, above tickover with little throttle is amazing. Is it a good bike? Do they have any major problems i should look for? Its got very low mileage for the year.

Yamaha YZF-R1 (2012-current)

Not much has changed with the 2012 R1, but the big news is it now has a six-stage traction control system, incorporating anti-wheelie in its two most intrusive levels. It also has a restyled nose, a slotted YZR-M1-style top yoke and a longer, softer rear shock. The changes aren%X92t enough to compete with the new-generation of hardcore superbikes, like the...

water in the oil?

i wonder if you can help. I bought my yamaha diversion 600 s in November 2011. Now that the weather has turned colder I am getting a leak from the breather hose that comes from the air box. It looks like a creamy mix of oil and water. I have cleaned the air box but the oil/water continues to leak. The bike is a T reg 1999 and to be honest i am not sure of the service history. Its a standard bike with no mods.I have a new air filter oil filter and oil to do a small service ...

Yamaha YZF-R1 (2007-2008)

Yamaha%X92s latest R1 features new-found midrange drive from junking Yamaha%X92s tried and tested five-valve per cylinder in favour of the traditional four-valve set up, but at the same time installing some of the %X93bad boy%X94 engine manners the original model was famed for. The chassis also gets updated by way of new frame, swingarm and suspension to make this latest...

Yamaha YZF-R6 (1998-2003)

Hardcore, know the score. The Yamaha YZF-R6 is a sexy uber-capable track bike that works on the road too. It caught the 600 race rep class napping and nothing came close until Suzuki launched its 2001 GSX-R600 %X96 that%X92s a long time to rule the 600 roost and shows just how good the original Yamaha YZF-R6 was.

Yamaha YZF-R1 (2009-2011)

This is like no in-line-four cylinder sportsbike ever produced. It%X92s simply sensational.  The Yamaha R1%X92s ultra-short-stroke engine has a cross-plane crankshaft, with its crank pins set at 90%XB0 and has irregular firing intervals, which is technology lifted directly from Valentino Rossi%X92s factory YZR-M1. At a standstill the motor spins up like a two-stroke and on the move the R1%X92s ability...

Yamaha YZF-R1 (2004-2006)

It%X92s hard to fault the clinical, precise and devastatingly fast Yamaha YZF-R1. Its chassis can cope with all kinds of road surfaces and demolishes tight hairpins at any track. But it does demand skill and rivals like the CBR1000RR and GSX-R1000 are simply less work. For purists the Yamaha YZF-R1 still has something unique; a superb focus on the dark...
