Hi, I'm new to MCN but feel like I might get a half decent answer from here; local bike garage keeps fobbing me off...I have a Kymco KR Sport 125 - please dont roll your eyes, I'm saving for a big boy bike! Throughout the summer I have no issues starting her up, even at the crack of dawn. When the slightly colder mornings hit, I have a great trouble turning her over! Checked the battery to be shown 12.4V on my voltmeter. All electrics work, just immense trouble starting. The motor will spin a few times and sound promising, ...
Ive got a couple of bikes Enduro 450s reading online it seems that all larger cc bike chains have rivet links and small cc bikes split links. Is there a definitive limit with split links? I recently got a JT power transfer chain from chains and sprockets.com and the 520 chain came with both a rivet link and a split link, so for my WR450 if i dont need to change chains quickly should I fit the rivet link for better strenght? but then I heard many road racers also use split links???
I'm having trouble replacing the fairing on my ZRX1200S, is there any fairings that will fit my ZRX without too much modifying?
Hi. I'm not sure about all the correct terms etc but here goes.I have a xr 125 with 16000km on the clock. It has a kind of oil leak between the upper part of the engine and the lower part. what can cause this? how do i fix it (if possible) and does it damage my engine if i leave it like that?In this image the leak would be just above the spark plug's black connector. https://www.google.co.za/search?q=honda+xr+125+engine&biw=1600&bih=804&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=A-EaVLSbIoXD7AbUpoHgBA&ved=0CBsQsAQ#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=o6SnVAJqnjSZrM%253A%3BDo9_Av-zFMWb-M%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.iol.co.za%252Fpolopoly_fs%252Fiol-mot-gallery-may23-honda-xr125l-11-1.1072646!%252Fimage%252F2716512366.jpg_gen%252Fderivatives%252Flandscape_600%252F2716512366.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.iol.co.za%252Fmotoring%252Fbikes-quads-karts%252Fpicture-tour-of-honda-xr125l-1.1072656%3B600%3B426
The exhaust bolt securing one of the inner downpipes (inner RH side looking from the front wheel) has sheared off flush with the block. The exhaust is now off.Has anyone in this sitauation managed to extract the bolt with the engine still in place ? If so how ?It is the bolt nearest to the frame but there is a clean line of sight so it may be possible to get tools in there to do the job.I am happy for a decent garage to do the work if they can do the work with the engine still in place. ...
Just came back from a ride and noticed when I turned bike off that there was a strange constant squealing noise along with a strong sulphurous smell coming from it, removed seat and cover which revealed steam/smoke coming from battery, which it seems was causing the smell and noise, battery was really really hot!!! I am right in thinking this would be caused by the reg/reg being knackered or could it be caused by something else?
help.taking my shaftdrive apart there was no pin only a hole and could not see any fixture on the spline.what to do. thanks, ray

Hi,I have a Suzuki GSXR K3 750 which started with a tapping noise coming from the right side crank case. I first thought this to be the cam chain been loose due to the cam chain tensioner been faulty. After replacing this the noise was still present. In the end I got the right side crank case removed and found the crankshaft counter weight to be loose. 3/4 machined screws which had worked themselves out and could have potentially locked the engine up.After some research I found the same issue on a 2011 GSXR 600 in America. Can you please tell ...
Dear MCN Experts Team!I am the proud owner of the Vietnamese version of the Honda ANF Innova 125i. While it might not inspire bike envy in most, it treats me well and I love it to bits.At the moment I am in the middle of converting the lighting system. I have found LED replacements for the winkers, brake/tail light, parkers, and headlight. While I understand that there may be those who dislike LED headlights, there is very little policing of laws regarding modifications here and I am convinced that the bulb will be an upgrade from the current one (single ...
