After reading all the bad press about the new Pan i would like to add my pennies worth, i bought a 2005 model in the faster dark red plummy colour, after running her carefully in i took her down the A1M and thrashed the tits off it, fine till i hit the 110mph mark and she began to weave slightly , i'd had a V-Strom before that and that was a nightmare at high speed so the pan seemed like a naughty pussy cat, i tried shifting my body weight about first to no avail, then the screen bad mistake ...

Have heard from an inside source that Wiltshire police are the latest force to ground their fleet of Pan's because of high speed instability concerns. As of this week they will no longer be using them.

I recently bought a brand new 2006 model ST1300 from Avonvale Honda. The bike has now just under 3000 miles on the clock. 0-140mph no shakes, rattles, or wobbles. 15 stone rider with panniers full and a tank bag. Rock steady at all speeds. Whats all the winging about?

Not my idea but .... the ST1100 had a production run of some 12 years and the STX1300 is apparently only going to last 4 years. I think something may be seriously wrong with the STX1300 which could be why it is being withdrawn so early in its production run. Contrary to what Honda development people tell us, I don't think they did ask existing (ST1100) riders what they wanted in a new model. Your thoughts? After 55000 miles and lots of two-up touring think my suspension unit is knackered - adjuster will not come off the high setting - just goes loose. Guess will have to get Honda replacement unless anybody knows a better option. (Great bike - saving up for a another new one next year.)
