Hi. My local dealer has offered to take my 11,000 mile GSXR750K5 plus %XA32500 against a pre reg (0 miles) 2006 R1. Previously I had a 2001 R1. Is there a huge difference between 06 & 07 models ?? If I wanted an 07 model it would be another %XA31500 to swap. Do I or don't I ?? Cheers Mike

I purchased a new R1 in March 2004 and from 3000 miles onwards I noticed that the bike occasionally hesitated while pulling away from road junctions. The bike would begin to pull away normally and then suddenly stumble as if the fuel had been cut off. There was no pattern to the problem at all and weather conditions and miles travelled were irrelevant. The bike could do it 3 times in one day and then go a whole month without doing it at all. Just gutted my '05 stock cans as per the "How to" on the R1-Forum site. The sound is fantastic and there is a noticable improvement in performance in both midrange and top end. I got my perforated sheet for the tubing from B&Q of all places for %XA37.25 each. I've retained the looks of the stock cans but turned them into race cans. Go get your drills out.
