Bigger Tyre

My Honda CB1300 runs a standard rear tyre of 180/55 I would like to replace that with a 190 section, would that size tyre upset the handling in any way?

Continental Conti Motion

In another thread I've just said how much I like bt-023s, but for entirely budget reasons I'm considering putting a set of these on. I've managed 9k out of the bt-023s so far and a set of conti's is about half the price, so if I get 5-6k from the conti's I'd be happy....unless they're awful..Anyone got any opinions either way?

VFR800 FI-y new tyres needed

Hi all.I have been looking for new tyres for a while now, and the Metzerlers keep catching my eye. Basically, I need a tyre that is good in the wet and cold conditions, but doesn't let me down in the dry. I ride all year round so good mileage would be a bonus. What do you think? Ive narrowed it down to Metzerlers roadtec Z6 or the Z8.

pressure

Hi, strange thing happened over last few days...was gonna go out on my bike over the weekend, took it off the paddock stand and saw the rear tyre was flat,(only rode it 2 days beforehand)so put it back on the stand and pumped it up to 32psi.Checked it that evening and psi was 32psi still, checked it over next two days and still 32psi, went for a little ride around town and when I got back 35 psi.....(tyres have green stuff in for over a year now)....any ideas.?

Rear wheel slide?

I have a Kawasaki ER5, 07, with 5250 miles on the clock. For some months I have been experiencing rear wheel slide. Like when having to pull up sharply, the rear wheel sometimes fishtails, and yesterday, on a dry road, when going round a roundabout, felt a slight slide to the left. Seems to me that the rear wheel is not gripping the road surface? But more noticeable on right hand turns than left? With only 5250 miles, still plenty of tread. Anyone have any ideas on this?

tyre sizes

I think i read somewhere that all steel frame cbr600's from 1995 onwards can be fitted with a 180 section rear ryre. If so what difference does it make to the handling,is there eneough clearance, and why was'nt they fitted with them as standard?.
