Hi all,Firstly, hi - I am new here and new to biking, so please go easy on me! I have searched the forum, however, couldn't find anything like this :-(I have completed my CBT and theory tests, and am soon to start training for a proper license. I am new to bikes and have been riding for just over 2 months, however, I have a problem that was confirmed by the instructor assessing me - cornering! I seem to stiffen up when cornering and do not have the confidence to lean - I keep thinking the bike will slip over ...
HiI have a CBR 900RR but have not yet passed my test.I know I've done this the wrong way round but had the money, saw it and bought it..I was wondering, if I passed my Mod 1 could I restrict the bike and ride it til I decide (and get the funds ) to go for my Mod 2? Thanks
Hello I've been riding my existing bike for over 6 years and have done nearly 30k miles. I wanted to get a larger bike. I've passed my A2 test and now want to get something larger. Have looked and sat on a NC700s DCT but haven't ridden (due to the restriction). Is it a wise idea to jump? Thanks in advance
Hi everyone, first post so here we go.I recently purchased a WK125 sport. (yep, its one of them Taiwan jobs), I was riding to work this morning and all was fine, the weather forecast said it would be sunny with some gusts in the afternoon.Anyway, to cut a long story short, I was completely wiped out by a strong gust of wind, thrown across the road and landed on a billboard. Luckily I was fully kitted out and the bike landed in a bush. The wind speed at the time was between 19 - 25mph (after checking on the met ...
so I've bought the book on the kindle and have started reading it, at the moment trying to get my head about why he wants me to spend dollars?and which way the Camber goes all very confusing. So my question is, has anyone else read it? and if so did it improve your riding?
hi guys,I have no riding experience apart from my CBT, 1 x lesson and my mod1 and mod2 tests. Passed 1st time with 1 minor so chuffed with that, this was about 2 weeks ago and as soon as I passed I went out and bought a GSX-R600 (52) (I know it's not an ideal first bike and I should get more experience on something else first, but i'm not overly bothered by speed so just want to be controlled and smooth in corners).I have ridden to work (20 ish miles away) pretty much every day for the 2 weeks ...
I've got a 2008 gsf650 bandit with only 16k on the clock. Just looking for some advice with regard to gear changes. When changing from 1st to 2nd and to a lesser extent 2nd to 3rd there is good clunk as the gear engages. If I do a WOT take off the clunk is far worse. Is this just the style of gearbox or is there a better way to change gears. Only been riding for 6 months so it may just be me.
Hi all,I have my mod 2 coming up in three days and am practicing hard I can't seem to get junctions correct though when it comes to using the proper procedures ...What my instructor has said (say coming up to a give way sign & turning left)1) check mirrors2) LEFT lifesaver3) left indicator + position so no-one can undertake you4) LEFT lifesaver 5) turnI can get upto number 3 correct, but if I am to do another lifesaver AND check the road is clear (and that it is safe to go), I have to ...
Just wanted a thread to express my excitementPassed my Mod 1 yesterday. However I did get 3 minors. I stalled the bike after the controlled stop (false neutral anyone?) and I missed the speed on both swerve and emergency stop by 1kph!!!! - bit harsh I think. Was bricking it on the U-turn but when the examiner asked what I would like to be called I told him to call me mandy (I find a joke helps leviate the nerves) - so all day I was being called mandy when my name is Josh. Apaz the examiner is a real stiff, fair but ...
