Hello Could anyone tell me what 'legally' I have to do to restrict a larger bike to 33bhp under an A2 licence. What I am after is the difinitive legal rules in writing wherever that is. I have heard alot of suggestions of whats required. For example some saying a certificate to say a bike has been restricted or bike needs to be Dyno tested etc. Also does the work need to be done by a dealer? I contacted the DVLA and they didnt have a clue, which seems bit silly. Many thanks

I have American Chopper aspirations which i'd like to make a reality as soon as possible, but there's a problem, I'm on L plates. Could a suzuki gs500 be restricted to 12.6 bhp? i want to buy a cheap runner and chop it, hard tail, goosneck the works. and if restricting a gs500 to learner legal size is possible, is there a chance that it could tow around the engine and a hard tail frame? it'll be minimalist. any insight would be appreciated.

'i own a triumph speedtriple 1050 that i would like to fit a low level road legal slip on silencer .the manufacturers of said pipes claim that these are road legal when fitted with a removable baffle in situ.should these pipes also carry a stamp to varify this should i get stopped by he police?i have also been told that fitting one of these silencers especially with the baffle in place can cause damage to the engine by restricting exhaust gas flow and so causing the engine to run to hot,is this true?many thanks keith' in Bike accessories

Hi. I,ve just brought a Suzuki Burgman 200 and want some advice on altering the headlights. At present the left hand side headlight operates the dip beam, and the right hand side headlight operates the main beam, as on many superbikes. I would like to know if its possible to change them to run both headlights on dip and main beam as it was on my bandit. Would it be legal, and would it cause any problems with the wiring. Many thanks Ginnelli.

Not sure if this is one of those they all do that sir or not...I have a 2006 BMW F800S and when I adjust the suspension rechecked the beam throw (I have HIDs fitted so I don't want to blind everyone). Anyway when I dip the beam goes down (as I would expect) and to the right (which I wouldn't). What is other peoples experience with BMWs (and particularly F800s)?I had two subsequent thoughts/questions:1. Since the bike light needs CE stickers would it be legal to sell in the UK (even if its stupid)? (Since every other European country rides ...

Hey guys,I bought myself a 54 plate k4 SV-650S yesterday.. It is incredible! However I've got one problem, my fuel warning light is constantly flashing regardless of how full the tank is.To make the bike legal for me I put in a second hand ECU to restrict it, could this be causing the problem? How can I fix it or would I have to get another ECU box? Thanks guys :)
