Is this the coolest Yamaha T-Max on the planet?

Maxi scooters generally aren't the coolest looking vehicles on the road -their masses of plastic making them look like bulbous alien spaceships at best. This Yamaha T-Max is the creation of German custom builder Marcus Walz, who was asked to 'hyper-modify' the T-Max by Yamaha. Walz opted to strip the big scooter down to reduce weight, boost performance and make it look...

Yamaha T-Max (2012 - current)

The sports maxi-scooter that started it all. As close as you'll get to motorcycle handling in scooter form. The T-Max can tour, scratch and commute as good or better than many middleweight conventional bikes. But ABS isn't standard, it lacks the innovative features found on other maxi-scoots and the price is getting dangerously close to %XA39K.

Yamaha T-Max (2001-2011)

If you want to tour occasionally, a Deauville 650 does it better. If you want to commute, a YP250 Majesty is probably all you'll ever need. So where does that leave the maxi-scooter Yamaha YP500 T-Max? Good fun to ride, but just too expensive for most urban riders sadly.
