Tyre pressures

I've just bought a new Honda CBR650f with Dunlop Sportsmax D222 fitted as standard. Having had the bike a few days I checked the tyre pressures and found the front to be 34psi and the rear to be 38psi.  This was below the recommendations in the handbook so I pumped them up to 36psi ans 42psi as quoted.  At these pressures the bike doesn't handle as well and the back wheel seems 'skittish' and harsh over bumps.  I've dropped the pressures back down to 36psi front and 38psi rear and the bike feels much better.  Am I safe to do ...

Tyre choice for older bike

Hi, currently restoring a 1985 Kawasaki GPZ400R.  Like many other things, it's tyres were shot & someone had had a go at carving them up. Given old bike/newer tyre technology debate, what tyres would you recommend for general leisure riding/UK touring on this bike? Thanks

Tiger 800 road tyres 2011 model

I am looking to replace the standard Scorpion trail tyres with something hopefully a bit longer lasting as 7,400 miles has destroyed 2 rears (squared) and 1 front. The problem is the original size front is 100/90-19V limiting the choice. Could I legally fit an H rated instead of V as it still exceeds the bikes top speed or could I legally fit a 110/80-19V front as this opens up the likes of Michelin anakee 3 or pilot road 4 and Dunlop roadsmart. The rear is no problem as it seems a common size. Thanks for any advice.

I need a set of tyres for my ybr125 I need them tubeless. The sizes are 2.75-18 front and 90/90-18 Rear. I have seen two models online. Metzler me22 and the Michelin pilot street. I saw the pirelli city demon but I don't like the look of that tyre. Do they need a tube or I can fit them straight to tubeless rim.

Whitewalls for Triumph America

Hello Forum,Newbie here, so hi to everyone!I own a Triumph America and want to fit whitewall tyres.  The only whitewalls I can find are Avon Venoms.  My front tyre size is 110/80-18.  Trouble is Avon only make the Venom in 120/90-18.  My question is: would this slightly larger tyre be OK?If not, does anyone know of any other whitewalls in 110/80-18?Thanks very much for any advice.

Correct Tyres For Rims

I have a classic Ducati 900 with rims of 2.15 x 18 front and 2.50 x 18 rear. The optimum tyres for these rims, according to the tyre companies are 90/90 x 18 front and 110/90 x 18 rear, BUT, all the tyre companies specifically recommend for this bike tyres of 100/90 x 18 front and 120/90 x 18 rear, which would probably result in a smaller contact patch than the smaller tyres. What gives?Colin
