Hi Guys, I am currently planning out taking my A2 bike test and of course am looking to buy a bike after. I have my heart set on a Ducati monster and to be honest have little interest in anything else on the market. I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me whether it would be possible to have it limited so that I could run it on my A2 license. This would mean that as i progress through my tests i could have it de-restricted rather than upgrading bikes. Some advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for ...
Hi all!I am looking to buy a new sportsbike and am trying to weigh up the financial benefits of running a 600cc vs 1000cc.I do not own a car and use my bike all year round including my 30+mile daily commute, and at least one night a week a ride out.I am currently running a GSXR 1000 K4 and have nothing but praise for it, about as practical as a superbike can be in my view.Looking around I can't really see much difference in running costs between 600's and 1000's. For example, tax would be the same unless the bike ...
Comment invited please. I've had a policy through Devitt insurance with the cover being provided by Chaucer insurance. I sold my bike after having the policy out for four months I rang them to cancel the policy and Devitt wanted %XA350 to cancel it and Chaucer wanted %XA334. So a total of %XA384 when the policy was only for %XA3125 in total. Surely they can't get away with this. How does it cost %XA350 to cancel a policy? Do all Insurance companies charge %XA350 to cancel? Thanks for all your advice, I cancelled the policy but I think it's ...
My Triumph is reluctant to start, then does not run sweetly for first minute or two, then's fine. New battery 2 months ago, kept on "smart" charger spins the engine well. Several good doses of injector cleaner and new plugs have made no difference. Any suggestions?
Is there a product out there for cleaning the engine cases and drive shaft on my old K100RS...? There wasn't anything when I used boxer twins as a courier in the 70s and 80s...should I just be happy that the cases are now the same colour as my hair....or has some whizz-bang product surfaced during my 20yr absence from bikes.....?
18 months ago I bought a Suzuki Bandit from Jordans Bikes of Leeds. I have now found out that it has been a Category C insurance claim. Should the dealer have informed me of this situation?
Tested battery 14.6 idling. Went for a 70 mile ride and tried to restart as soon as I got home. Nothing. Half turns over and nothing more. Got it on bulk charge now but sure there battery is ok. Triumph garage didn't know what the problem is. This happens nearly every time I stop for petrol but it can be jump started. Edit: It's charged for a feeling minutes and starts again no problem. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Hi all, I have a Honda CBR 600 1998 (F3) which is suffering with mid range power loss, bogging etc. Symptoms:Riding the bike at speeds over 30 and as soon as you hit 5500 RPM it just boggs down and looses power until about 6500, 7k when were back on the power. I have replaced, plugs, air and fuel filter and even had my local bike shop strip, clean and Ballard the carbs. Battery seems fine as it churns over for ages if required. Exhaust has a slight blow top of manifold but bike shop told me that is not bad enough to cause this issue.Any ideas on what ...

I do most of my riding in country roads and enjoy throwing the bike around and want a good handling bike. Im torn between getting a fz6 or moving onto something a with a bit more grunt.I really like the top end rush of the hornet but im finding the rear shock (its a 98) is now very worn and the bike is pogoing around a bit hence looking for a change.
