Spark plug condition

Hi allJust changed the sparks on my 2005 zx6r, think theyre the originals having done 17k miles ..http://i43.tinypic.com/j5ee76.jpgJust wanted to check if they look as you'd expect - i noticed they all have some black oil or fuel muck on the threads, although the first [left side] plug had noticably less as well as a darkened patch further down on the plug is that a warning sign of anythingThanks for any help

MCE nuisance calls!!!

I used mcncompare for the first time this week - never again!! I've been inundated with multiple calls from MCE regarding the quotes I had. None of them seemed to know that I had already taken out and paid for a policy 5 DAYS AGO and all of them promised that they'd take my number off the database...fat chance so far!!!I don't need my phone ringing many times a day whilst I'm at work.If I'd suspected this I'd 've gone for a higher quote from a more professional and respectful company.Yes, I know - pay peanuts, get monkeys. You get ...

Provisiional to Full error

Ten years ago I passed my theory, CBT and test to ride a 125. This I have done with MOT, service and insurance each and every year for decade. Last month I decided to upgrade my bike [bigger engine]. Long story short, I only have a provisional, not a full licence. Why? Because in the 2 years grace you where given to apply for your full licence, in my case 2003 - 2005, I didn't, I simply missed it.My error [it seems] Now the DVLA are saying I need to start all over again. Can't even ride my bike i've had ...

125 for 6'1 16+stone new rider

Hello Guys!I am thinking of ditching the car and getting on a bike, I am 28 years old, 6'1 and between 17 and 16 stone but trying to lose weight as we speak! I was hoping for some help on what would be a good bike for me? It will be used for commuting around Bristol, I am planning on doing the Direct Access asap, but if I find a 125 I like I might delay that and get some more experience, but my main worry is as I am pretty heavy that would make a 125 rather slow?I was looking ...

FZX 700 Thermo switch

OK, I'm reading my Clymer manual trying to test my fan thermo switch on my old FZX 700.  The manual explains that I need to place the thermo switch in water and heat the water up to 98 degrees Celsius where resistance should be infinite on the Ohm meter, so far so good. I then have to heat the water to 105 degrees Celsius where resistance should decrease and allow current to flow then allow it to cool back through the 98 degrees point where resistance should return in infinite. My question is;  How do I heat water to 105 degrees Celsius ...
