Hi,Can anyone recommend an insurance company that'll take 20+ years of riding into consideration for a car quote?Had full bike licence for over 20 yrs, this included cat B1 (trikes, small cars etc) passed my driving test just over a year ago, (I didn't have to do theory as I was "upgrading within categories"). So potentially I've been driving small cars (upto 550kg) for 20+ years, as well as riding bikes for over 20 years. Do any car insurance companies take this into consideration? As at present I'm been classed as a new driver and am expected to pay ...
Just told my current insurer Swinton to get stuffed. I've been getting hassled with phone calls and letters 6 weeks before the renewal date. The latest letter tells me that Swinton are gonna help themselves to %XA373 of my money despite my premium being paid in full. The letter tells me that if I renew with them the money will go towards the premium, or I can have MY money back. How gracious of them. So I phoned them up and instructed them not to take the money, but the brain donor on the other end tells me its too ...

Any advice would be appreciated please. I've recently bought a GSXR 750 L1 and insured it fully comp for a reasonable price. I stated that I had two years NCB however after talking to freinds have been told that NCB only last's for 2 years, on checking my NCB it finished in March 2011, therefore 2 years and 1 month old. I'm now worried that I wont be able to use those two years NCB and my insurance will increase massively. I wasn't aware of the two year rule and am sure the insurance provider did not ...

Its that time of the year guys and my current broker, who have been OK over the past few years, is comming in a just over %XA3500 for the 1200RT and Fazer so I'm going to do a bit of shopping around. Anyone have any recommendations?
A week ago I had a low speed accident on a roundabout that was heavily gritted, basically the front wheel went from under me half way around it and I believe it was because of the grit. It was a dry day and had not been icy or snowing for a few days, all I want to know is would it be silly to try and get any sort of compensation from the local authorities/council? I know its not a road defect or diesel patch and if the grit wasn't there it would probably be a safety issue so I ...
I just bought a 2005 Aprilia Tuono and rang for a quote from my current insurer (lets call them Swindle) it was incredible, over %XA3900! They suggested i go to their web site and get a better quote, a whole %XA3127 was offered. So then I tried MCN compare. Best quote, from Devitt, was over %XA3460 cheaper. As it turned out both brokers were offering insurance underwritten by Equity Red Star. This means I got a quote using exactly the same details, for exactly the same bike, underwritten by exactly the same Insurer for %XA3460+ less when i went to MCN compare. ...
These crooks in suits that call There selves insurance firms are all money making tosspots. They tempt you with the cheapest quote but be carefully and check how much your excess is ,in my mates case just downsized from a cb1000r to a ncx700 ,told Swindon his intentions only to find that the firm that covered him for his 1000r couldn't now quote him for his smaller bike ? So told them to cancel the policy with them as most people would ,they then charged him a cancellation fee for the pleasure ,reqouted him which turned out to be MORE than the ...
