Is it ok to tour on medium sized bike?

hi, All I seem to see in mags etc is people doing pan-european tours on 'big bikes' 1000cc+ and rarely anything smaller. I've got a 2009 650 banditS with hard luggage and was intending to do south of spain to UK and back with the missus on the back. Is my bike too small to consider this? I was hoping not as I'm not in a rush and with a decent set of bridgestone bt023's I was optimistically thinking it would be fine. Any reason anyone can think of why I shouldn't consider the trip? Cheers, GM

Which Tourer Would you Buy

I`m sure this question must have been asked before but anyway!!! Which tourer would you buy? Today I have test ridden a New Pan European, I was very impressed on the whole, I currently ride a Fazer 1000 mk 1, Is the FJR 1300 a better bike, I think it is better looking? What do you think?   JYP

Pillion Advice Please.

Hi, I have been riding all sorts of bikes upto 750cc for 10 years now and think of myself as a brisk but considerate rider. I have recentley become the proud owner of a lovely Pan european which I adore. On my own I have done over 4000 miles on it since September last year. Trouble is : The whole reason for getting a tourer is to go touring! As soon as my partner gets on the back (suspension and pressures adjusted correctly) my legs turn to jelly and it just feels soooo heavey, I'ts OK when we are tootling along ...

RUBBER FOR THE PAN

I Have a pan European (ST 100 Last of the 1100's) in my collection of bikes and i see Michelin Macadam's are going for %XA3129.99 a pair at my local ATS! (they are OK on my fazer) I have always had Bridgestones 020 or Pirelli's and these have been ok but at a saving of over %XA380 these are worth a look? Any one tried them on a pan and how did you get on? thanks Ged
