Sycamore Harley Davidson at Uppingham Rutland [Leicestershire] are have an open day thingy... test rides etc. on W/end 25th/26th November.
It seems like no one wants to talk here these days Just goes to prove change isn't always good
oh man, that new 96 cubic inch engine is magic!!! The bike I rode [kindly lent by Sycamore HD of Uppingham] was fitted with a pair of very loud aftermarket pipes that sounded bloody awsome but I wouldn't recomend em as plod would be on you like a flash. lol Gotta say after my all too short [2 hours] ride on that new Dyna ............ I WANT ONE!!!! :p anyone want to buy a 06 sportster, 3k miles, pampered, serviced and loved.... %XA35,995ono. sorry dant, I done it again. ;)
06 sportster roadster [that one wiv twin front discs] run in properly as per the book, serviced as per, and done 3k miles mostly in the dry. Lovingly cared for, not a mark on it and its got to go to help buy a Dyna. %XA35,995ono oh yeah an it's taxed till end of next Feb. No dreamers, voyeurs, tyre kickers, soothsayers, other assorted oddballs or luminaries please. ;)
thinking of getting a 1200 roadster possibly next spring and just wondered if there was anything I should know about the sportster. Things like cost of servicing, reliability.....yes yes yes I've heard all the rubbish on the general board and places about em being crap but I want the truth from someone who has one or has had one so come on, there must be someone out there? helloooooooooow? :p
Irecently bought a set of Streetslammer bars for my Dyna a bolt on part which cost and don't laugh %XA3340.I decided to go for genuine parts after hearing horror stories about aftermarket bits.Ifitted the bars and noticed that the switchgear did not butt up properly, at the top the switchgear butted but on the underside there is a 2 mill gap so obviously the bars have not been machined properly.When you pay this amount of money for handlebars you expect perfection Fred Warrs did not want to know saying that i had spent only %XA3340.%XA3500 would of got me quality ...
yesterday Thursday 23/03/06 I was watching on men and motors channel a programme about a Harley festival in Barcelona.A group of guys on various Harleys were trying to bike down to spain on thier bikes.As a newbie when it comes to Harleys I was shocked to see the mechanical problems and just stupid things that the Harleys were afflicted with.One guy lost his ignition keys as he was riding down the road.There were also numerous electrical problems.The bikes were obviously well cared for as the guys loved thier bikes.the guys just shrugged it off as normal.I was thinking of buying ...

Does anyone know if you can fit the softail duece one piece backrest upright to a sportster, cos I think it looks better than the side plate and sissy bar type. Cheers Stu.
