Hi there,Anyone had any experience of altering the gearing on the CB1300. I was thinking of trying a front sprocket with one extra tooth to raise the gearing - any thoughts?CheersDave J.

What's the advantage of a 1300 then?? I took the Cb1300S ABS out at the weekend (Honda of Bournemouth demo bike) and bloody loved it!!! It was so incredibly smooth over the bad roads (and there's plenty around Dorset) and the power delivery was awe inspiring. But what is the advantage of the 1300 over my current 600? Apart from the bike being longer and more confortable, what's the real-world benefit for me??

CB1300S / Black / Remus TiTaNiUm slip-on (No Baffle) / Centre stand / Crash Bungs / 4" Taller Screen (Skidmarx). Took the bike for a cross-Pyrennees jaunt of 1700 miles with a bike buddy on a Yam XJR1300. Neither bike let us down. Been home for about two weeks now & can't stop grinning yet. Plymouth-Santander-Pyrennees-Dordogne-Loire-Cherbourg-Poole. Fantastic! CB13S looked meaty, performed in every way, fast, torquey, massive 'presence', comfy, faultless in the twisties, proper brakes to make it stop as well as it goes, SUPERB ! Remus can loud & evil. fantastic bike 5000miles up now but how the hell does anybody ride one of these in a hot country 20-25c is ok but in access of 30c my legs feel like chicken kebabs.Any idears like changing the thermostat for a lower temp? regards

Similar to several owners comments and test reports I have found the rear foot rests high reduceing the leg length to a uncomfortable position for my partner and any passengers. My modification could be of assistance to owners whom have this issue, I employed a local engineering company to cut and extend the rest by 50 mm, this does not cause any problems to the rider or the passengers right foot touching the silencer.
