Suzuki SV1000 (2003-current)

The Suzuki SV1000 is a purpose built big capacity, sensibly priced, road going sporty V-twin. Ok, the engine%X92s nicked from Suzuki%X92s old TL1000S but the rest of the SV1000 is all-new yet the price tag is very reasonable new or used. The faired Suzuki SV1000 %X91S%X92 version has lower bars but is the better all-rounder. The unfaired SV1000 with higher bars is a...

Suzuki GSX-R1000 (2012-current)

The now old GSX-R was an exceptional bike, winning AMA and world endurance titles and narrowly missing out on a BSB title. Suzuki have simply improved the weak points, namely better brakes, more midrange, lighter handling with a few cosmetic tweaks, which in the end produces an exceptional road bike with real world manners. It may lack sophisticated traction control...

Suzuki GSX-R1000 (2001-2002)

This Suzuki GSX-R1000 is the original %X91Gixxer-thou%X92 %X96 THE top dog sports bike of its day. Later Suzuki GSX-R1000s became smaller and more revvy as well as faster round circuits and arguably easier to handle. The original Suzuki GSX-R1000 K1 and K2 models are still supremely competent sports bikes and pretty decent all round machines too.

Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa (2007-current)

Suzuki have played around with the GSX1300R Hayabusa%X92s styling without losing the original%X92s looks and character, as a result the new Suzuki Hayabusa looks really sleek. Engine capacity had increased and so has power and torque. Handling hasn%X92t been significantly improved, more a gentle step forward however the brakes are a miles better, and about time.   Watch the 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa...

Suzuki GSX-R1000 (2009-2011)

The Suzuki GSX-R1000 K9 is the first completely new GSX-R1000 in the big Suzuki%X92s history, but it feels uncannily similar to the K7/K8 model it replaces. Despite a new short-stoke engine and an all-new chassis, the K9 hasn%X92t captured the spirit of the grunt-filled, lightweight K5 bike as we%X92d hoped and still lacks the agility to keep with its rivals...

Suzuki GSX-R1000 (2007-2008)

Suzuki has never made a bad GSX-R1000, and they still haven%X92t. Their flagship superbike always leads the class, never follows, and the new GSX-R1000K7 is no different. Not only does it have more power than ever before %X96 up 7bhp to 185bhp - it%X92s now even to handle than ever. The user-friendly nature of the Suzuki GSX-R1000 was always its best...

Suzuki GSX-R1000 (2003-2004)

Ultra fast, capable track missile that works far better on the road then you%X92d imagine. The MK II Suzuki GSX-R1000 (K3-K4) thou is smaller and more compact than the Suzuki GSX-R1000 K1-K2 models. It%X92s easier to flick around race tracks but, bizarrely, the Suzuki GSX-R1000 makes an acceptable one-man sports tourer too.

Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa (1999-2007)

The original Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa is still one seriously quick motorcycle, possessed of enormous acceleration and breathtaking top speed. True, the GSX1300R Hayabusa doesn't quite handle all that power (and weight) too brilliantly sometimes, but it remains a supremely comfortably long range missile, that always delivers a shot of raw adrenaline. Latest version is better yet.

Suzuki SV650/S (1999-current)

The Suzuki SV650 is a straightforward middleweight V-twin all-rounder which proves you don%X92t have to be boring to be practical. The SV650 is versatile, affordable, a doddle to ride (making it popular with inexperienced riders) and yet is a hoot to muck about on - or even to race.   - SV650 Ultimate buyer's guide - everything you need to know when...
