Yep...got another dance job abroad, this time I'm on land not on a ship. Going away for 9 months possibly a year to Portugal. Can't take the bike with me unfortunately so it's up for sale. SV650s, Y reg, 36k, open to offers now as I need to get it sold before I go at the begining of Jan! It's in perfect condition and of course it's had alot of love and care from me. I'm planning on doing my test soon and have been looking around to see which bike would be best as my first. I like the look of the SV and i've heard good reports on it. I haven't had a chance to get to a suzuki showroom yet to try one out so i wondered if anyone could advise whether it'd be practical for me? having problems cos i'm only 5 ft 3 ins (can't even touch the ground on some bikes!) and, how can i put this... lets say i'm "generously proportioned up top", so have issues with leaning ...
i passed my test a few months ago but im restricted to 33 bhp , i currently ride a cbr 125 but want to upgrade to a bigger bike , i have been looking at the sv650s because i want a sports bike. Is this the bike to go for or is there any better options??

I've recently bought the K5 sv650s, (unregistered bargain,couldnt help myself!) i've done about 1700 miles on it since i bought it first week of july, had oil and filter done 3 weeks later at first service of 600 miles, my question is, 1000ish miles later the oil is just on or slightly below the lower mark on the window,is it normal to use that much oil in only 1000 miles?? not ridden like an idiot, mostly commuting and one trip of about 450-500 miles over 4 days but mostly motorways and a road stuff, any advice appreceated cheers DF
Im either getting an SV650s or an SV1000s and ill deffo want to change the end cans possibly the whole system, but looking through the on-line catalogues at M&P and Busters/J&S there doesnt seem to be any available but i know ive seen SV's with after market cans, can anyone point me in the right direction as to where i can source them and which is best value as regards to how much you pay and the BHP gains and KGS reduction, Ta very much guys.

Hi all. I hope to God someone can help me. I'm experiencing problems with my sv. Been knockin on deaths door for a while but thankfully no one is home when I call.
