Although arguably a better bike, the Ducati 999 has never really stepped out of the shadows of the preceding, iconic Ducati 916 series of motorcycles. It lacks the grunty, fluid finesse of its V-twin rival motorcycles, the comfort of Japanese superbikes and has typical Ducati failings; of poor riding position, useless mirrors and quirky electrics. Hiya, I've been saving my pennies and have now put an order in for a 999 Biposto...yay! Not so great are the insurance quotes, although I have 5 yrs NCD on my bike insurance I have 2 SP30's (from cars) and a claim on my car insurance in Dec 05. I'm 34 so would have expected a quote under %XA31,000. Does anyone know of any incurance company that is worth a try for a quote? I've tried a few from this site but have yet to recover from them! thanks, Matt
I have a 05' 999S with the new style swing-arm. I'm having one hell of a time getting a inner rear fender so as to keep the crap off my rear shock etc. Does anyone know of any aftermarket products that will do the job? Thanks...Hommie
