The Suzuki SV1000 is a purpose built big capacity, sensibly priced, road going sporty V-twin. Ok, the engine%X92s nicked from Suzuki%X92s old TL1000S but the rest of the SV1000 is all-new yet the price tag is very reasonable new or used. The faired Suzuki SV1000 %X91S%X92 version has lower bars but is the better all-rounder. The unfaired SV1000 with higher...
Im getting loads of different opinions on this, i need a show of hands! does the bloody thing handle or not? i need a majority decision cos im thinking of getting one !! thanks guys
Hi folks. Can anyone shed any light on why there are so many used SV1000s for sale with really low mileage ? Is there something horribly wrong with them ? I'd be grateful for any replies cos I'm seriously considering getting one.
Thinking about buying this bike but heard that the fuel consumption isn't that great. Can anyone tell me how many miles you get to reserve on a good road run. Thanks
Ive got a 2006 Sv1000 and suffer a bit from numb hands after 60/80 miles. I could buy new thicker gloves but was wondering if "duel- denserity" grips etc would help? what have other people done?
service time heading my way it be the first time since buying bike second hand whats the best oil to use
Hi First of all - I don't know very much about bikes at all, so some of these questions should give you a bit of laugh! I've just bought my first bike - a 2000 SV650S., having passed my test just before Xmas. I didn't get an owners manual with it - can anyone tell me where to get one? Also does the SV have a fuel tap to switch to reserve (like the CB500 I learned on)? ...and what does the little yellow button on the left of the handlebar do (labelled 'pass') Many thanks! Nick
Can anyone tell me how well the big SV handles at speed, im no race deamon but i am a reasonably fast road rider who's used to sports bikes with multi-adjustable suspenders, i really do fancy something a little different to your average Japp 4, which is why im thinking of the big SV, but the lack of adjustment concerns me!!
Hi Guy's, I would like to know what small/big problem's the SV have if any. Most bikes have niggle's some small, some big, so i'd be interested to hear what you have to say about the BIG SV, Chris.
I now own a SV1000S. After 25 years of 4 cylinder bikes I finally got a great deal on the SV. %XA34750 new and the colour I wanted Blue. Now to run it in.
