Hodgson close to Motorpoint Yamaha deal

Neil Hodgson is thought to be close to agreeing terms to ride for Rob McElnea’s Motorpoint Yamaha team next year. McElnea was the former WSB champion’s first port of call when he visited the Croft BSB round back in September – when Hodgson admitted to MCN he was looking to make a return to BSB. And he’s also to visit the team’s...

that would be good news

If he goes there that would be ok as it wouldn't be a decent bike going to waste and he would get peanuts for pay ! i can't see it happening myself because of money, and a Rob mac bike last won a bsb round ? the one they fished out of the lake at oulton would be good enough i suppose!

hodgson

i think it's a good move. be nice to see him in the paddock again. if he was on the HM plant bike i'd tip him for the title for no other reason than there is no one left in the series to beat! ellison is a good rider and a cracking lad but at the minute he's hanging his coat on colin wright finding a sponsor. be interesting to see how niel does, no one gave walker or rutter stick for riding round finishing no where.

There's not much provokes me to write in, but reading Hodgson is looking to be back in BSB is a f--king joke, what hard riding spirit has he shown in the last few years to warrant a place on the grid, its not entertaining or good for the series to be letting "has been's" fill the seats!

Great to have you back Hodgy!

It would be great for BSB to get Hodgy back on board. He is a class rider, and this championship needs riders like him to keep the level high as it has dipped a little this year! The rivalry between walker is an added bonus.

There are some sad little people on here, with nothing better to do than bitch people off - would you do it to his face? Grow up, and enjoy what you've got!

bsb

why is hodgson coming back ? pension? . bloody hell , thats out of order . what about all the young'ns , who are desprate to get to wsb or motogp , he's been there done that and now he gets another chance . really we should'nt complain about the lack of brits in motogp or ower riders not being up to standard , when people/riders who have had plenty of chances , come back , cut the feet of some young'ns , make lots of cash then hang there boots up . nobody to blame but our selves for not having a brit in motogp . just as well b.smith fucked off and raced in europe or he would of been chomping at the bit like the rest of the up and coming . what a mess!!! . now i will probibly get abused for this .

walker might be a bit past it now, but he is not doing it just for the money like hodgson, thats the only reason he went to usa, now they dont want him, so comes back here.

Hodgson returns

I would like to wager a virtual bet that Hodgson will not perform as well as those who are still in BSB at present, he is desperate for a ride and so comes back to the level where he first started. He should accept he is past his best and go and retire.
