'Game Over' ..... for another year..

Well it's now November and looks like we have had our last Sunday rideout this year (we will be out for an hour or so 'here and there' through the winter ..but the big, all-day group rides are over:upset:)  .... Although the prospect of winter makes me depressed I am now also breathing a sigh of relief  - that I made it through another season without getting killed/maimed/banned or jailed! .... It sounds daft but that seems to be the reality of sportsbike riding these days ...I don't know if others feel the same ....Not that it is going to stop me ...'already looking forward to next season and making plans ..... hope to get to the Nurburgring, do some longer Sunday rideouts back up to Kyle of Lochalsh ...and up to the beautiful beaches near Mallaig ..as well a doing the big loop up to Granton on Spey and down again ...meeting up with the southern crew when they come up in May again ? ...and at a meet at Devil's Bridge in lancs ..... Lots to look forward to for next year .... it could be awesome :smile.... let's just hope that finally we get a proper 'summer'! :winkie:

Roll on spring 2010. :smile:smile...The future's bright! :winkie:

Yes it probably is over for this season, although I did manage to have an 80 mile trip into East Ayrshire late on Saturday afternoon.

Once I've given the bike its final big clean I probably won't want to bother with taking it out, even for a short journey. Who knows, maybe we'll be lucky this weekend...

I do like the sound of next year's events though  That'll give me something to look forward to over the next 3 or 4 months.

Granton on Spey

My ex lived there for 15 years, I've never been there as it was before I met her. Any room sometime next year for a paddy on one of your rideouts?

You'll always be welcome if you bring Ormo bread, brown lemonade and Guinness! :winkie:

'bout ye back!

Ormo soda bread and fadge (potato bread) and brown lemonade... no problem. Guinness in cans won't be any better than what you can get there. How's about Tayto cheese and onion?

Are you an ex-pat? Completely unavoidable pun there by the way! :winkie:

My mum is originally from County Down so when I was growing up I spent many weekends and holidays visting relatives in Belfast. That's when I learned about all the unique foodstuffs!  Although I hadn't heard the term fadge for potato bread, but I do remember Tayto crisps:smile

Newbiebikerboy (Glenn) on here who also rides with us is from your part of the world.

We caught a good day on saturday, but it got dark very quickly on the ride home, plus this time of  year the farmers start to plough their fields and the amount of crap on the roads is a danger, took 2 hours to clean it
