Pillion Comfort ?

I am thinking about getting a 950 adventure, I have heard comfort can be a problem but KTM have now fitted a gel seat as standard. Is the comfort much imporoved ? also whats the bike like to carry a pillion over a long journey ?

pillion comfort?

Hi Nick, i recently bought a 950 and was offered the option of fitting a gel seat at no extra cost. I must admit, I decided to stick with the original and although its no goldwing I don't have any problems riding for over an hour. My girlfriend does find the seat a bit hard, but has said that overall its more comfy than the Honda blackbird I had before as the pegs are lower and the suspension is brilliant for bumpy roads. I didn't even try the gel seat as my arse has pretty much been broken in by doing 30,000 miles a year for the last few years but it might be worth trying before you buy as you get to choose between the seats. Other than that the 950 is a fantastic bike and so far I haven't found a situation where I would rather be on any other bike. Cheers, Stevie

Seat

I drilled the plastic base with about 50 of 10mm holes. Both my rear and the pillions were extremely thankfull. Never bothered us again and cost nothing. smac
