Does anyone know how to take off the mirrors on the 749? got the manual, but there are some strange clips holding them in place and I cant seem to find out how to take them off....

Nevermind, looked at it this morning (in the light) and just pulled em off... i get dipshit of the month award.... And when I tried to take it through the house, got to the front door (with a high lip) and the front wheel went through, dropped, and the bellypan smacked on the ledge cracking the fairing where they both meet (and as Ive found, hold together)... so now Ive got two flapping fairings, oh joy. Anyone know a fix?? Dont really fancy buying new fairings even If i could afford it (which i cant)...
