Bought one last year come from a R1 and Fazer 600......my son wanted it ..hes long way round daft...got one with 30000 on the clock and at first was nt in love with it..then in july we went on a trip to the Pyrenees...now last year i went to the Alps on the Fazer fzs and absolutely loved it.....but   cruising down France i started to get the Beamer.....at the end of the trip i was in love all over again...i didnt want it to end...it is quite simply the best bike i have ever had(2007 R1,Fazer ,ducati 748,gpz1100)....it was just the most comfortable fantastic journey....if you try one give it time ,their different to start with but after a while the penny drops and ...quite simply the bike is unique...a LEGEND...and i ve got one

So what's the story now? Is this still the original and the best bike in the Adventure Motorcycling class? Any owners prepared to compare it with new BMW models, KTMs, Triumphs and jap copies out there? I'm just starting a motorcycle blog at http://journeymanbiker.blogspot.com. It began as an online journal to document motorcycle touring, kit reviews etc. Any comments on adventure bikes well received.
