Benelli Tre K 1130 (2006-current)

Arguably the most ‘complete’ motorcycle from Benelli in modern times. It may be ironic that the best bike this Italian firm, which is steeped in racing history, has built isn’t a superbike, but the Benelli Tre K is a superb, Multistrada-esque, do-anything, all-purpose street motorcycle and it really is very, very good.

Tre K fuel and vibes

Hello, any comments on highish fuel consumption and reviewers reports of vibes at higher revs. I commute high mileage.

benelli TRE K

A totally brilliant bike. Looks very "edgy" and sounds fantastic over 6,000 revs. and goes like shit off a shovel.

Handles well - did a track day at Donnington in 2009 - managed to grind out right footpeg and hit 130 mph plus - all without falling off - for a change !

Tours well and now have hard luggage fitted - off to Austria and Italy in June 2010. Only black mark was  in France in 2009 - alternaror packed up on day 2 of holiday ! Cost an arm/leg but after a lot of hassle managed to get it all back on warranty.

As yet - have never seen anothet TRE K in all my travels - have done 12,000 miles so far. Anyone out there in the north west with a TRE K ?

Benelli Trek 1130

What can i say 20008 model have had for 1 year and done 5,000 miles on it now reads 10,700 it drinks fuel how ever you ride it, Fast, Slow what ever. My vfr800 out handles it and that has 40,000 miles on it. In traffic I can not get the thing in neutral you catch wing mirrors when filtering on vans if not careful because the handle bars and then the mirrors make it as wide as a gold wing seat hurts you after 30 miles riding as seat so thin, rust on wing mirror stems common fault, try trading one in they are worth nothing as a px by way before any one comments I ride 25000 miles a year and have tried most makes and every type of bike and this is my view you may not agree but except it for that what comments are for good or bad

Benelli Blues

Well I am now enetering the 10th month of my ownership of my Tre-K Amazonas 1130cc and it has managed 6 weeks on the road with the majority of the rest of the time either in Millenium Motorcycle's workshop or laid up at home with a cracked frame.

I hopefully will be picking it up on Friday with a brand spanking new frame and a new gearbox output shaft that had worn out in 8000 miles.

If all the planets align I should have a bike that is totally transformed into a fast, smooth, edgy, bike that I can really live with. If, however, my experience of modern 'mechanics' is anything to go by, I will have a pile of cr*p that has been lashed together by the work experience 'monkey'!! I could have done the work perfectly myself in a week - it has taken them 4 months (although most of this time they have been waiting for Benelli's ridiculously slow parts distribution to arrive).

I think I'll buy a classic and fettle it myself! If riding modern bikes means dealing with dealers then I dont want any part of it. Now then a nice Ural 650 should fit the bill!!!
