Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa (2007-current)

Suzuki have played around with the GSX1300R Hayabusa’s styling without losing the original’s looks and character, as a result the new Suzuki Hayabusa looks really sleek. Engine capacity had increased and so has power and torque. Handling hasn’t been significantly improved, more a gentle step forward however the brakes are a miles better, and about time.   Watch the 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa...

Strange

Saw the new 2008 Hyabusa in my local dealers showroom. Is very nice looking bike, until I went round the back. The rear view reminded me of my uncles Morris 1000 car. I suppose this could be a tribute to the wonderful aerodynamic shape of the mozzie thou. Only jokin, sorry Suzuki. Back end needs restyling urgently. Yuk.

2008 Busa

After 43k miles on the original PX for the 2008 the advances in finish, features, spec and performance are all improved. Smooth pick up, brakes brilliant, great filtering. The back is for others to look at to re-coin a phrase, 'the car behind' is well behind. What lets it down... For a manufacturer of such a size its time they got some partnerships going for the accessories to come out at the same time as the bike. Tank covers, bags, panniers, bubble screen(it still needs one for the all weather 5'8" rider). As an all year bike only rider these are the only aftermarket parts worth going for at first. As for taking it out of the show room and thinking you can improve on X millions on development and experienced engineers by adding aftermarket tiddly bits... Its like taking a F1 car adding fluffy dice, please no more the Nova driver turning to bikes. What next wings. Sunday riders and the aftermarket, stop w@$&*$g off to each other, wait to understand what the bike is then think do I really know what I'm doing.

SUPER BIKE!!!!!

This bike is simply the most beautiful bike in the world however I would like to tell you my specific impressions about certain topic:
1)acceleration - there are no machines beside the ZZR's and other Busa that can match this motorcycle for acceleration and only thanks to the speed limit control in doesn't take off like a fighter jet. SIMPLY INCREDIBLE!!!!!
2)Handling - You have to me concentrated at all times because if you will loss it than this corner could be your last. You can't compare the handling of a 1000 to Busa and the difference because huge on the track but on the normal daily roads it is not that different. SO BE CAREFULLL!!!!
As for the other things like Quality & Reliability - very good Japanese finish but you can't compare it to Ducati, Value - people say not much but for a bike for me it is very much buying a new but for a used one it is not that much more or less 6000 pounds. As for equipment it has everything you will need.
Best wishes hope to see you on road soon.

Suzuki hayabusa gsx1300R 2010

The 2010 Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R K10 - Pearl Mirage White Well I saw it coming out of the crate well I was taken back by the new white colour
• Engine crisp loads power and broad torque curve great on mountain twisters
• Clutch and gearbox smooth good feel even if you lassie it seem to do the work for you
• Handling very well Balanced very stable and great feedback feeling at cornering, the rear end strong feel that makes you want to put down the power to the road ,it doesn’t feel like a bike or a touring bike a good sports feel
• Braking responsive and strong feel
• Ergonomics nice sport feel without kill your wrists and back and rider leg position nice
• Setting ridder and passenger comfortable but passenger legroom lack of
• Fuel take well shaped gives room for my podgy to fit in
• Storage under seat could do with a little more room
• Bike height great for us old guys not having to kick 6’6’’to get the leg over the seat
• Bike Design well the critics said the bike would be out of production in a few years and it was considered to be an ugly bike well 10 years has past by and Suzuki is still selling the Hayabusa
• Build quality very nice finish panels clips nicely together
• Exhaust well fat and long little too fat and to long nice shape need a little trimming down
• Suspension real good sports bike feel
• Tyers BT grips well
• Price is excellent for the performance the you get in a 1340 cc bike that can be a sport bike and a touring bike a bit of both worlds and the performance of the bike would satisfy most sport bike riders without doing any modification and if you wanted to do some touring two up with gear pack it would be a nice ride for both

2009 Hayabusa

Have had this bike almost a year now, overall very pleased but I find the riding position cramped.

I have ordered Blueflame cans to replace the ugly original exhausts.

The service intervals and cost of what is a glorified oil change are both ludicrous, why can my car go four times longer between servces and then cost about the same as one bike service?

FIGGA-BUSA

I've had this monster for a little over a year now and it handles alot better than you'd expect this beast to! I replaced the exhaust for Two Brothers carbon cans and it just sounds like a sick throaty Kawi Killer! As for looks I have not gone 1 day without getting compliments on her looks. I LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hypa bikes?

I had a rolling drag race with a 57 plate Busa a few days ago on my old GSXR600K4. I kept up with him from 40MPH to 145MPH so I'm not looking at buying one now as I can design 599cc bikes to nearly go as fast. A waste of money for me.

I'm now looking forward to building a 570cc 2 stroke RG500/RGV250 and a lighter and faster GSXR1000K6 version of my K4.

Cheaper than the mighty Busa and more agile too
