Suzuki RV 125 Van Van, struggling to get Neutral!

Help, please!

I am a new lady rider and have bought a 125 Suzuki Van Van since doing my CBT.

I am having real problems getting the bike into neutral gear. It's not just me, a guy at the local petrol station who's a biker couldn't do it either!

Any suggestions as to what it is, would be really appreciated!

Thanks:unsure:

Clutch prob by the sound of it

It sounds as though the clutch is not adjusted right.

Did you buy the bike new? If so, take it back to where you bought it from and get them to fix it.

If second hand take it to a service shop and see how much they'll charge to adjust it properly. It should not be too much as it is not a massive job - usually involved a locknut, a screw driver and adjusting the cable.

Let us know how you get on

Neutral struggle with Van Van

Hi Foxman,

Thanks for your suggestion re getting the clutch cable adjusted. I bought the bike through a private sale, it is a 2004 model Suzuki RV125 Van Van. I will keep you posted.

Thanks again,

Pocketyoga

Before adjusting the cable

make sure that the push rod is just pressuring the clutch.

This is the part with the screwdriver :smile

Your local bike shop should be able to help if you are not comfortable doing it yourself/haven't got a workshop manual to follow.

Neutral struggle with Van Van

Hi Foxman

My partner has adjusted the clutch cable of my Suzuki Van Van, and I can now get the bike into neutral.

Thanks, Pocketyoga
