Bikesport coverage

Congratulations to Neil Hodgson, being acclaimed as being in the AMA "elite" already, after 3 races. He's 2nd in the championship, on a Ducati, being heroic in the face over overwelming inline-four competition (as are the Dukes in WSB). Anyone remember Neil? He was UK and then WSB champion. Wake up MCN (or change the title to something more appropriate. All you seem to do is put out spoon-fed press-releases, and rehash tests from sister publications. PS. Le Touquet beach race was attended by 350,000 people. The ferry cost£25 each way. It has probably the largest attendance of any sport, and was simply awesome. Too far from Peterborough? I'm speculating that Le Mans got a paragraph this year because Gus Scott was racing. Previous years have gone without mention since it lost it's World Status. This doesn't explain why you carry on featuring the TT every year. Performance Bikes used to be the No.1 bike mag, and became trash, full of wheelies and toilet mentality, and look where it went (down the pan). All the tits and goss in the world won't save MCN. There's no way it's worth the price of a pint (the pint lasts longer, and is more satisfying) Ranting over, AndyHRC.

See Mike Scott Rant / Bike sport coverage no doubt and other recent postings ref local bike meets. Aintree for one - result listings with no coverage of what actually happened leaves a big gaping hole for loadsa interest in the comic - tell the puntas about slicks being allowed for the first time, was the 100mph lap record broken, what bikes are the regular winners / also rans in the forgotten era / modern, is carl Fogarty's Dad still completing a lap etc etc. Links to Aintree Web site, (not much - but building well)
