Lake District...

I have a precious couple of days off work in a couple of weeks and I have booked myself into a hotel in the Lake District to get away from it all and deal with a personal trauma...

Hoping to take my bike if the weather's not cack. Anyone got any road/view recommendations...?

Cats

Listen Q B I have a friend who's cat is 21 years old, totaly deaf and has cateracts in both eyes but smells her way around, Not showing any signs of giving up yet.

I also have a daughter in law who is a vetenary nurse and has a rescue cat with only her right eye and a rescue dog with only her left eye . Both of them rule the roost and show no signs of distress. By the way I'm 64 and at 40 you are just a youngster, keep on trucking.:smile.

Cheeky...

The cat sadly died, the Fireblade got sold, I'm now 41 and a half and I never did make it to the Lake District.

How to wrap up an old story in one brief sentence. :smile

Life begins at 40, get a new cat and go see Helvellyn. It is surely still there

Worth stopping here for refreshment before blasting up Honister Pass en-route to Buttermere.

Very sorry to hear your bad news. Still you could always get another.(Fireblade that is)!! Nowt wrong with being 41, although my memory isn`t that good, I can vaguely remember it!!!

I did Walla Crag today and back to Keswick via Ashness Bridge. It was the most clear beautiful day ever. Fantastic.

I`m off now before I get all poetic.:doubt:
