Last chance to decide the winners of Britain's Got Biking Talent

Today is the final day your votes can decide the winners of the Britain's Got Biking Talent competition, with the winners appearing in the 2008 Carole Nash calendar. Our celebrity judges have picked their Top 50 from the 1400 entries received. And we want you to decide which of the bikes and owners deserve to make the final 12. To make your choice,...

top 50 bikes

Are these top 50 bikes the ones us readers really want to see and vote for.??It looks to me like its turned into a classic / vintage / retro paint job competition, to say the bikes aren't great in there own right, just not sure this is what it was all supposed to be about. A little disappointed to say the least, who was on the judges panel did they stipulate at criteria.

Its not about me

I think youve got the wrong end of the stick AAASTAR.Its about what normal blokes that enjoy bikes and riding and what they ride, not about some trick paint job or a restored 50 year old bike. These things are great seen at a specific show but not something I would want to buy a calender with them on.Yes I was p---ed off my bike didnt get on but hey there are plenty of better bikes than mine out there that didnt even get a look in. Any way what do you ride ?

too late

Whatever is said will av no effect on this years contest, but I for 1 hope that they take reflection on some of the points raised and improve the thing for next year, if theres one next year. After all its the first attempt at it, would av been a miracile if they had pleased every1 at the 1st go. So pucker up lads and give yourself an objective for next year.

Another perspective..

trufftastic is right to say that you can't please everyone - you never will. After all, a competition to rate modified bikes is always going to reflect the differing personal tastes of a group of people who - by definition - 'choose to be different' anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to see my own bike in the top 50. If it goes further, fine: if it doesn't, I won't be crying into my cornflakes, but I do wonder at some people's ability to manipulate the technology to their advantage.....
