R1 NOISE

Hi jurgen

I would think this is nothing to worry about. But if it is excessively loud then take it to a main yamaha dealer so they can make a judgement. What you are describing sound like clutch noise. When the clutch is not under any load the cush springs in the back of the clutch basket can rattle and the clutch pull rod can also rattle.I feel this is what you are hearing. It may also need a oil change. But if you are worried take it in to a bike shop and let them listen to it.

Good Luck
