Getting bike stuff for Xmas...problems buying or receiving?

Hiya,
I'm doing some work on the Shopping section, particularly in the run up to Christmas, and I'm basically trying to make it as useful as possible if you're buying presents for other people, or, if you're trying to help other people buy presents for you...

So I'm just wondering if there are problems you've encountered, or ideas you've got, which could make Xmas shopping a bit easier?

For example, the fact I'm into bikes means I've got about 20 DVDs of 'bike crash chaos' or similar, because people send me 2 or 3 a year because it's an easy last minute thing to grab from a card shop...

Or the fact that it's quite hard to figure out which paintjob to pick on a new lid for my dad, and I don't really want to spend a few hundred quid on the wrong one...

So what normally goes wrong for you? What stresses you out? And how can we help?

Cool....

Some good suggestions - some things might not be possible in time for Christmas, but the things we can do in time, we will - and the things we can't get finished in time will be done for the future, if they're viable....

I'll take a look at the MX Boots issue...any more details about things that are hard to find etc are always helpful....
