A return after a very long break

Hi all,

New member and returning to riding for the first time in almost 20 years. It's long story but now looking to buy my first bike and accessories in the New Year, hasn't technology moved on?

My last bike was the tried and trusted CB 125T, which I have just gone and ridden some of the CBT requirements courtesy of the local training center just to reassure myself that I can still ride two wheels!!

Anyway I was looking at the latest range of Bikes, ZX-6R, GSX650F and CBR600RR to name a few. My wife is in the process of doing her CBT as we speak so I need something we can both ride individually and together. I stand 6ft 4" while the good lady is 5ft 10".

Does anyone have any suggestions or first hand experience of the bikes mentioned above, I can see myself as the main rider and intend to try all the machines above in the New Year but would love to hear from anyone with first hand expereince of these machines.

Thanks in advance

Rich

As your wife has just done her CBT it sounds like she will be riding on L plates. As such she cannot ride anything above a 125cc bike. Have a look at the Varadero.

If she is going on to do DAS then have a look at the SV650.

If you are both going to be using it you should really choose it together. Saves a hell of a lot of arguments that way. :winkie:
