Silverstone to run MotoGP race in 2010?

Despite the announcement last week that Donington Park has been given the planning consent for multi million pound circuit development, MCN has learned that the Leicestershire venue could lose the 2010 MotoGP race to rival circuit Silverstone. Insiders claim that MotoGP organisers Dorna have snubbed the use of the new Donington Park circuit in favour of a larger sanction fee from...

Definitely not bullshit.

It's a done deal and you can read it on the MotoGP website.

Dorna couldn't care less about the punters, what with no Eurosport coverage and now this. :(

What a waist of time going to silverstone, it is such a boring track to go and watch at,  why couldn't dorna atleast take the britsh gp to brands hatch. Imagine rossi, stoner and pedrosa going in to paddock hill bend side by side. Moto gp is losing its apeal in such a big way, 17 riders on the grid, is there any point carrying on with the series. What with kawasali pulling the plug, bmw and aprillia choosing wsb, Its such a shame to see what used to be great racing series, turning in to something so dull and boring!

As far as marketing and trying to reach a wider audience Dorna should be thinking about the decision makers and whether they should be sacked as they are clearly not up to the job! Perhaps Ezpeleta too should be described as unfit for purpose to serve and promote the Moto GP brand!! 1/ Removing coverage from UK Eurosport - this was a clear platform for marketing the sport and actually made even the dull racing a lot more interesting + coverage of the lower classes 2/ Moving from Donington (a favourite with the riders) to what can best be described as a go kart track 3/ Moving to 800cc bikes after pressure from the big H in the name of safety

donington may be the better place to view bike racing than silverstone  but they treat the fans like sh*t  so  I for one am glad they've lost it...maybe they'll buck up their ideas in the future ...though I doubt it.........
