Yamaha YZR M2

Imagine if Yamaha put up for sale for the private teams a "ready to race" MOTO2. It is a return to the past when the bike from race could be acquired normally from the private riders. Not yet released are the prices and the technical characteristics of a new YZR M2.

whatever its going to be called .. YZR-M2 .. or otherwise .... it'll have a suped up R6 engine in it.... I think this what Tech-3 is going to build.

We alredy know that the Blusens team & Moriwaki are running CBR600RR engines in their Moto 2 bikes

So this will be a prototype frame, possibly quite different to the r6 chassis and more like a baby M1, designed to house an R6 engine with titanium-everything internals, shorter stroke and wider bores, higher compression and CNC'd heads.  easy to build the engine for less than 20k

Wonder if the engine's or even the bike might end up on the road in some form one day... would be cool to see something else in the vein of the Desmo on the roads, though slightly more affordable.

Won't happen guys, not for the foreseeable anyway. When the control engine deal for moto2 was switched from geotech at the end of the 2012 season, it was renewed for 4 years, meaning control Honda cbr600rr motors for everyone as per now! Given that, your more likely to see flying pigs or an honest politician than a Yamaha moto2 bike with 'powered by Honda' written on the side!
