BMW 650 FUNDURO ?

Ok ok before you rip me to shreads, I'm only asking.

I have noticed quite a few peolpe are anti BMW's so I will tread carefully.

I have been thinking about what bike to get next.

I dont like to go too fast so top end doesnt matter but I plan to try and do some distance riding and I will be using it to comute.

I like sports bikes but I don't think I will get on with the riding position as I just had to change the bars on my Gs500.

Basically I have seen a BMW funturo in a local dealers and I thought it was quite nice and a good size for me ect.

I am just wondering if anyone has any advice on why I should or shouldn't get one.

Be gentle with me I am cringing allready:lol:

Funduro is a nice single cylinder and chugs along like a good one. Can green lane a bit but the Dakar versions are more for that.

Is a solid little bike and easily lowered too.

Without

sounding too sarcastic it has one cylinder in the engine.

A V-Twin is two in a v form, V four is four of them in v layout.

Singles tend to be a bit snatchy / vibey but the BMW isn't bad at all. Also they have less power for the same engine size but are lighter and cheaper / easy maintain.

You needn't worry about it though, the number of cylinders doesn't really affect a bike like this, they are reliable and very forgiving. I like the Dakar version of this and people have ridden the F650GS round the world before now. Funduro is a little less rugged than the old F650GS and Dakar though, more street oriented.

Thanks guys sounds good. I did get what a single cylinder is just not how it effects the bike. I thought it might be slugish or something. So all good info cheers.

I am deffinately stearing towards one.
